Held in conjunction with the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize, Woollahra Council's Environmental Schools Sculpture Prize is open to all primary and secondary schools within the municipality.
In 2012, our theme is Plants & Animals which encourages students to submit an entry that represents some aspect of biodiversity in our society – whether it be drawing attention to the problems our plants and animals face and the threats to biodiversity in our world, or providing hope and imagination in the way we could support and enhance the biodiversity seen around us.
Information packs will be sent to schools in March 2012 and students in years 3-11 from any school in the Woollahra municipality are invited to attend a free sculpture skill workshop in the July school holidays to get a head start on their entry. Stay up to date by visiting the Environmental Schools Sculpture Prize web page.
To better prepare the students for a visit to the exhibition, educational material can be provided. Please contact us to discuss what can be provided for you and your students.
