I am fascinated by the intricate detail and tactile surface patterns found in organic forms. In my sculptural work I use various textures to recreate the patterns of growth found in the natural environment. I am currently exploring the possibilities of using a variety of materials to create new skins and surface textures. I choose to work mainly with natural fibers, wood, paper and found objects. My recent sculptures have been inspired by wasp nests, coral and plant forms.
