My work expresses a long-term interest in bodies as a site for the expression of social and culture change. A new series of work entitled I am Louis Vuitton, I am Manolo, I am CoCo critically engages with the forces of consumerism that create a dynamic and often overwhelming environment for living. A desire to "wrap" the body in elite branding has been pushed to an extreme so that body/selves have lost their distinct and separate identities, morphing instead, into a favoured pairs of Chanel gloves, Manolo Blahnik shoes or a Louis Vuitton handbag.
