Through my ceramic cartoons I hope to produce multi-layered representations of the absurdities and petty idiocies of political and cultural discourse.
I make these images in ceramic, to give them greater gravitas, granting them a sense of permanence, delicacy and artistic merit that elevates the works above the traditional, fundamentally ephemeral place of caricature and satire.
My characters are slip cast from innocuous children's toys, yet have a hefty political agenda. They find themselves sending up our neurotic existence in a Looney Tunes, riotous fashion.
