Repeated rhythms reverberate on rising tides,
Then diminish; awash in segmented spirals.
Geometric perfection echoes rippled waves
from an ancient Gondwanan sea.
The silent sands wait, and witness,
On ever shifting shores across aeons past.
Davide and Dennis are South Coast based sculptors working mainly in Bundanoon and other local sandstones.
Self-taught and constantly learning and evolving, the brothers are inspired by nature and the infinite variety of colours, forms and textures in Australian sandstones.
The sculptors use a number of carving techniques but let the unique features of the stone guide their hands to release the flora and fauna within.
