The work investigates the relationship between the 2D and 3D. Influence is taken from the environment and its history to recent developments in my practice.

Born in Murwillumbah and now living in Leura, Australian artist Peter Cooley studied Fine Art in Brisbane and obtained a Diploma of Art from the City Art Institute, Sydney in the late '70s. With well over 10 solo exhibitions to his credit (including Journey – Melbourne to Leura this year), he has featured in many group exhibitions and was a finalist in the 2013 Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize.
His works are held in numerous collections including the National Gallery of Australia, London’s British Museum, National Gallery of Victoria, Art Gallery of Western Australia and Art Gallery of South Australia.
