Through each level of the evolutionary ladder, external and environmental forces - along with physical needs - have had an effect on the development of organisms. As species developed and populated new areas, the changed environment had influences on the continual development of these organisms, creating related species with dissimilar physical features. Simplified, basic features of cells, amoeba and skulls have been combined to create these sculptures which depict how modern life evolved from lesser developed organisms.
