My sculptures represent an attempt to create a personal version, of a regional/Australian Folk Art aesthetic. I taught myself to carve by watching Tiwi Islanders when I was a kid. I base all my work on lived experience as a Northern Territory resident of 30+ years, living in close proximity to Southeast Asia and Papua.
