This work is about facile values being confronted by something seemingly similar and facile in appearance. But when we discover that the relic has been assembled from objects collected by an Alzheimer's sufferer, we may need to reconsider and question many values that are in society today. The Chihuahua dogs act as metaphor for a certain section of society who are, for various reasons, totally oblivious of their faults. The remaining cast marks on the dogs represent the faults that they cannot see but we can.
