Using architectural imagery I make ceramic objects which explore issues of architectural space - outside and inside, hollow and solid, open and enclosed. I reinforce my clay mix with paper fibre to provide the strength required to construct walls with the lightness, thinness and texture of crushed paper. I pierce and punch the walls to form openings or windows to the interior. I play with the boundary between one kind of space and the other.
