Sarah Newall's interest is in the private domestic spaces that we all inhabit, the individual spaces created through mass marketed design. Design shapes domestic spaces and affects the way we use an environment. Newall is interested in reclaiming this space and shifting the power back to the individual. In working with and against standardised design, Newall is creating a site for 'resistance' to a utopian ideal that means the same perfect world for everyone.
