Tinscape II is an exploration into transformation, use/re-use and the fusion of place and object. Incorporating simplistic methods in intricate ways, I carve, bend and fold landscapes from material with careful regard to its physicality. Little to no substance is removed; matter is neither created nor destroyed, only changed in form. The finished work, then, is allowed to slide between an understood reality - that of the found object - and a superimposed one - an interjected place.
