Cardboard Cube #3 That's How the Light Gets In

Kate Mackay (NSW)

Artist Statement

My work is constructed from recycled cardboard and yarn. Simple cardboard cubes have been painted and tied up with yarn, these are then tied together to create a single structure. The name refers both to the 'imperfection' of the loosely constructed cube as well as the straightforward construction of the object that allows light to pass through.

Materials

cardboard, acrylic paint, yarn

46 x 46 x 46 cm
