My sculpture is an investigation into the materiality of household paint and the extension of its traditional limits. The work has evolved from questioning habitual notions that govern the application of paint onto two-dimensional surfaces, into a conceptual reality of coloured liquid, solidified and moulded into an amorphous form.
High Tea reveals an interest that extends into the realm of the domestic and everyday environment as a source of influence. Referencing at once familiar objects and exploring the possibilities of space, material existence and our relationship to the object world.
