This work exemplifies my interest in the peel form, its ability to take on new geometry, while retaining the memory of the original shape. My interest is not in what is revealed by the peeling process but in the abstract form of the peel itself. Metaphorically anything can be peeled. We are conditioned to focus on the core, putting greater hope for wisdom on what is revealed there rather than what is removed. For me it is the peel and its formal properties rather than the core that is truly revealing.
