Is this a Superman from a bygone era, with his lacy frills adorning his costume and his hair neatly quaffed, fresh from rescuing a little puppy? Or is it perhaps an overweight effeminate gent playing dress ups, off to a birthday party? Whoever he is, he is certainly an odd looking fellow. I really enjoyed creating him, and often chuckled to myself as I worked on him. Unlike a lot of my work, which is highly political, this piece is all about having a bit of fun. As they say, "All work and no play...".
