The external, high-golden, bronze polish of this work is countered by a dark interior viewed internally through the ghost's very simple eyes and mouth. It is about seeing one's ghosts - physical, mental, familial, karmic, metaphysical or otherwise. These ghosts chain us to the recesses of past experience and the fantasy of future events. They will never fade until we are able to understand them. They need you to see who they are, and sometimes they won't rest until you forgive them. The gold symbolises the catalyst for change as a golden opportunity.
