This work represents my interest in cultural measures of success and recognition by telling a story of a trophy's existence through the materiality of its presence. Originally purchased from a second hand shop, the discarded or abandoned trophy is evidence that its owner must have moved on, perhaps to another plane. As an artist I imagined that I rescue the trophy and bring it back to life through art. This work is not meant to be cynical about the nature of success but rather honest.
