My work has been described as Abstract Minimalism - on closer examination, it works beyond such constructs. Sculpture has been a solid platform throughout my artwork from which to find links to the televisual, painting, design and architecture. Utilising the systems employed by Modernists, modular structures, repetition, perceptions of space and volume, form, colour and the mechanics of vision play a role in questioning our relationship with the natural world. My practices explore optical effects whereby the spectator is forced to continually question sculptural form.
