In this work, Perry extends his interest in the representation of natural forms and the organic in sculpture and delves into relating to the exploration of psychological landscapes. Inside Out, although cast in bronze, resembles a softly folded roll of fabric: like many of Perry's works, the piece turns 'inside out' the visual and tactile expectations of the viewer. Simultaneously dark and playful, this beautifully crafted sculpture is reminiscent of a geological artefact, extracted and brought back from a familiar but strangely alien world.
