This artwork is a revision of the current world globe to depict earth after catastrophic climate change and rising sea levels. The work deliberately marries current scientific prophecy with the biblical account of God's judgement of earth through The Great Flood.
After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the College Of Fine Arts (UNSW) with an exchange to the University of Alberta (Canada) in his second year, Simon McGrath has continued his art making while working as an art director in the advertising industry.
Simon loves conceptual art as it allows him to share ideas about the environment, politics, religion or even art making itself, in a way that can challenge people and the way they see the world. Simon often uses humour in the delivery of his message.
