A protective exterior referencing the environment in which we are placed, offering a security to that which is within. Be it a seed with the potential to grow, or our own self.
This work began as a simple container, but took on a complexity, which extended its purpose to one of protection within that containment. Although the walls allow egress, the barrier is evident as a means to safeguard the interior structure, which in turn, has its own barrier, protecting and enabling growth.
The structure is made by joining individual copper wires to form a network. The undulations of the surface, allowing an opening to the formative elements, whilst the inner form, not fixed or restricted in its growth is yet to open.
