Inside-outside is a model and a symbol of the organisms and parts of ourselves that allow us to be alive.
Like an intricate fossil, Inside-outside poses questions and possible answers about life forms that are both strange and intimate to us. Its sinuous completeness suggests infinite autonomy while its porous skin suggests dependence through absorption and exchange.
Inside-outside is art about how humans and animals function as living organisms rather than who we are and what we achieve. It invites us to hold and explore an object that shows our internal workings are as intriguing and beautiful as our outward appearances.
