The complexity of people’s behaviour has always intrigued me, and inspired me to visually express the range of emotions we see in the human condition.
Pina Bausch once remarked: "I am less interested in how people move than I am in what moves them..." and it is exactly how I feel when working on my figures. I try to search for something which is unseen, what will arise between movements.
The human performance is my big fascination. Spiritual posture, movement and body expression, is what interests me and I wish to express in my works. Theatre sculpture is an extension on searching for communication, connections and belonging. Theatre is about getting together, linked close to each-other, bringing emotions through movement and a homage to Tanztheatre and Pina Bausch.
